The mission of the Learning Lab is to empower the youth of South Minneapolis to become tomorrow’s leaders through academic excellence and personal growth. Our licensed teachers and qualified staff help students improve math, reading and science skills through technology and inquiry-based learning. In addition to academics, our program focuses on character development and leadership skills.

The vision of the Learning Lab is to prepare students for high school and see students rise to be the next generation of urban leaders, equipped with the educational, technical and moral skills they need to succeed. As this happens we believe the cycle of generational poverty will start to break.

The Learning Lab is an official Area Learning Center of the Minneapolis Public Schools.

The Learning Lab is moving into the new Colin Powell Youth Leadership Center.
