Break the cycle of generational poverty in our community one person, one family at a time

Our Situation
Located in South Minneapolis, Urban Ventures works to end the poverty in our neighborhood caused by a cycle of:
• Father Absence in the home (80% of families are single parent homes);
• Domestic violence / addictions / legal issues (90% of the individuals/families we work with have these in their lives.)
• Low education (32% of students of color under poverty level graduate from High School)

Our Strategy
Provide faith-based programming that builds and strengthens:
• Individual character
• Family relationships
• Education and job readiness
